Tribal Engagement Support

Support the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) by facilitating meaningful engagement between federally recognized Tribes and federal agencies during offshore wind project reviews. Expertise includes: 

  • Coordinate and facilitate government-to-government consultation and engagement activities with Tribes throughout the environmental review process. 
  • Develop and implement communication strategies to ensure Tribal concerns and perspectives are identified, documented, and addressed in project decision-making. 
  • Provide technical assistance and capacity-building support to Tribes, enabling effective participation in NEPA and NHPA Section 106 reviews. 
  • Prepare outreach materials, meeting summaries, and comment letters to support Tribal input and foster collaborative relationships. 
  • Advise BOEM and project stakeholders on best practices for Tribal consultation, compliance with federal regulations, and integration of Indigenous knowledge. 

Maintain compliance with DOI scientific integrity and confidentiality requirements.
